GSB approved for 2022 funding!

We are thrilled to announce that Seattle City Council has allocated $188k to the Garfield SuperBlock Coalition for 2022. These funds are crucial for our team to continue to do the work we do. Our group has been entirely volunteer until the last few months. We have put in countless hours advocating for and supporting this project. We’ve made incredible strides, but as the project became more real, we needed funding to do community outreach, develop an arts plan, and hire some of the skilled professionals as move into fundraising for construction.

Thanks so much to Seattle City Council for recognizing our need, and especially to Council Member Sawant for her office’s unwavering support and guidance as we were seeking this funding.
